Customer Care
Red Oak Beadwork is a small team of just a few individuals. Behind this sleek website, there is a head beadworker/webmaster/customer service rep, a part-time assistant and a few sub-contracting beadworkers. Really, we don't know how we did it either!

That being said, we do everything we can to give you the best service available, because we care deeply about our art and about you. Most of us have started beading for our families and close ones, and this is a great way to stay financially independent and bring economic dynamism to our communities.

When you shop here, you're family!
Custom services policy
Ordering something made specifically for you or a loved one can be a great project!
By experience, it can also be a stressful process if we don't have a good idea of what we want, and the result can be costly because of changes along the way. We have brainstormed as a team to come up with the most common issues someone may face when ordering something custom made and we have come up with a comprehensive ordering process that is both fair to our beadworkers and stress-free for you. Have a look! You'll see, it's easy.
If you have any questions hit us up at info@redoakbeadwork.com.
We can't wait to be working with you!
ORDER PROCESS

-
First, you might want to come up with an idea of what you want. Get a cup of tea, sit comfortably, and ask yourself: what would my ideal beadwork look like? Think of the elements that you want on this piece, the colors, the patterns, the types of beads, crystals, pearls, etc. This is an important step, and it will save you time and money to figure this out before contacting us.
-
If you have questions after this first step you can contact us through the contact section of our website, and we will help you figure out what you need to submit a quote request. Please note that design related questions are a billable service, as you are requesting a creative consultation with a beadwork expert, and therefore should be sent through the custom service form. Developing a design with a customer, coming up with shapes, patterns, types of flowers, looking at pictures of examples, if we talk colors, shape and kinds of beads:

We're on the clock for a billable service. This service has a flat hourly fee of 10$/h (+transportation fees if applicable).

-
Once you have a clear idea of your project, submit a quote through the form located at the bottom of the contact page.

Please note that there is a non-refundable administrative fee of $20CAN for opening a customer file and creating a quote, payable at the time of sending the form.

-
We will send you a quote by email, including the estimate time and total price of the project, with the detailed steps and materials nececssary.
-
You can then ask for modifications, accept the quote as is, or refuse it and cancel your order.
-
Once you have accepted the quote, we will issue a bill and send it to you by email. We work on a half-now, half-on-delivery basis. Should you decide to change any aspect of the project, please do by email at info@redoakbeadwork.com with an email titled "MODIFICATION (quote number)". We will then send you another quote and ask you to pay the difference on the initial payment if the total is increased by this modification upon reception of the amended quote.
-
Kick your feet back and wait for the exciting update pictures that you will be receiving in your inbox from time to time!
-
We will notify you once the piece is finished. That would be the time of the second and final payment*.
-
The very final step and the most exciting one: You get your piece delivered to your door!

*Please be advised that the last payment must be received in full before your item is delivered. We reserve the right to withhold an item until the bill has be paid in full or until 60 days after the date of required final payment, after which the item will be posted as available for sale on the store to make up for the unpaid balance. If the item is bought on the store, we will keep the amount corresponding to the remaining balance and all non-refundable fees and send you the remaining amount as a refund.
