FAQ

How much do you charge?Ah, the famous question. The best answer we can give is that all beadworkers at Red Oak Beadwork are paid a fair living wage. Please send us a message and we will be more than happy to provide you with the information that you need for your project. You can also have a look at our shop to get an idea of our price range.

Do you ship worldwide?Yes and no. While we have the ability to ship everywhere in the world, certain country do not support the online payment methods that we have. Turkey, for example, does not accept PayPal or Square payment processes. There are also restrictions on fur/feathers and other items that we might use in our jewellery and accessories. This is why we list all the materials that we use in every item. Please check with your customs agency before ordering to avoid problems in receiving your items.

Why do you charge a deposit for custom orders?Because it is an administrative fee and not a deposit per se. We pride ourselves in giving our customers quality service, and answering people for projects is a time-consuming administrative task. As such, opening a client file, creating a quote and asnwering questions a customer may have are billable services that all fall into that deposit. We receive several forms every day and we need to factor that in the production time. Rest assured that we will do anything and everything in our power to give you the best quality service you can dream of and answer you in a timely manner!

Why are there few pictures of your custom work on your website? Most of our custom work is for regalias, and since they are sacred items, we do not publish pictures of the work unless we have received the authorization from our customers. And because we do not wish to put pressure on them or make them feel bad for saying no, we do not ask them in the first place. They know that they are always welcome to submit pictures to publish and, should they come forward to give us a picture, it will make its way to the website. If you talk to them on the powwow trail, I'm sure they will let you know which beadworker did the beadwork on their regalias...

How can I get a custom piece from you? There are several steps to getting a custom piece from a beadworker: The fastest way would be to just send us a quote request detailing your project. It's easy! Realistically, there's a bit more to it. Hop on over to the Custom Order page for the detailed order process! (psst...you can access it through the bottom section of any page of this website!)
