Celebrating our clients: Congratulations to Nayshun!

Red Oak Beadwork would like to congratulate award-winning hip-hop artist Nayshun for winning the Toronto Peabo Award in the Artist of the Year category this week!

Hailing from Kahnawa:ke, J.J. Rice a.k.a Nayshun is no stranger to the Peabo Awards. He impressed the crowd last year with his awesome hip-hop performance, and as a result, he got nominated this year in the Artist of the Year category, and announced yesterday that he will be going home with the Award!

We are honored to see our work featured on such a special day and by such a talented artist, as he commissioned a custom beaded medallion for the occasion:

Antique tubular beads line a black background and a red and yellow core complete the piece featuring the colors of the four directions.
